VMT: PROTOTYPE FOR A PERMA CITY

The inefficient articulation between metropolitan equipment, public space, and landscape that our city has consolidated over time has blurred – not to say eliminated – our territorial characteristic. However, such metropolitan bewilderment can be minimized as we visualize a horizon: a spatial model that seduces all our urban agents (including politics) into a desired territorial permeability.

In a city scale (metropolis), our project seeks to devise (recognize) possible ecological interfaces that build urban continuities while determining readability and directionality. At last, the park generates a new spine. In the local scale (neighborhood), the park considers the changing conditions to which public projects are subject and establishes a series of urban tools (strategies) that, whilst working as independent atmospheres, allow the park to be adaptable in time.

A park where the social infrastructure, the superposition of functions and the environmental infrastructure transform an alien and inhospitable space into a platform for the new daily life.
