ABSTRACT
Spatial organization A sober and viable two-story horizontal building is proposed – economically and constructively – in a context under construction and consolidation. From public to private, the building is composed of three bars – as a programmatic gradient – arranged parallel to the roofed agora in front of the proposed urban park. The first bar corresponds to the main hall – double height – longitudinally arranged in front of the roofed agora. This articulates the main entrance with the public program of the Center: reception, shop, restrooms, exhibition hall, cafeteria, and access to the auditorium. In the second bar the exhibition hall and the complementary spaces to the main auditorium are placed. The last bar corresponds to the auditorium located in front of the new street that will connect the proposed homes with the Center. According to the bases, this space is a double height free floor and includes the installation of a retractable stand of 240 people. At the opposite end of the hall, the culinary center of the Center is located, locating the gastronomic classroom (with panoramic views towards the reserve), the downtown cafeteria and the main deposits.
The relation between spaces and the public roof allows the creation of cultural events related to food. The generation of poles at both ends of the hall allows a constant flow of occasional visitors and everyday users maximizing their use over time. The second level is articulated from a mezzanine (connected from a rampant staircase) where the workshops are arranged longitudinally, the classrooms can be integrated as well as the costumes for dance (for adults and children). The spatial organization of the same around the auditorium maximizes the artistic relations – be they spatial, visual and acoustic – between the main parts of the cultural center.
Finally, the circulation space embraces the described program and ends on a panoramic terrace in front of the Natural Reserve. The building as a link between the new rating and Rodrigo Bueno The need to contain the large park located in front of the project requires that the project contain the scale while generating an auction of it. In this sense, the main income is defined from a square and a monolithic block where the reception, craft shop and the administrative area on the second floor are organized. Its articulation with the rest of the project allows a spatial exercise of approximation and surprise with respect to the great roofed agora articulated by the main hall.
